Composer Notes
It's been a while since I've composed for the piano, but in this instrumental I wanted to bring it! The melody totally structured around the synthesizers with a bit of great drum track directly stolen from En Un Planeta song found in my 2011's the El Zamantara collection. Actually, I used part of this composition as the intro for En Un Planeta. Although the music was composed conventionally (notation) I did manage to improvise in a lot of passages throughout the song. Improvisation I feel is always linked to what you're feeling so it is a more pure form of musical expression. Always a pleasure writing for the piano!
Storyline
This instrumental depicts the travels of space traveler Nebur Orama through several galaxies and planets trying to find his love that he lost when his ship was damaged by a shower of small Asteroids while passing Sector A1A. Auxilux is the name of a methane lake in the Redusunus solar system in planet Xurixtrumiz near its equator where Nebur spotted Acinorev's space ship lifting off into outer space before he could contact her.
Unable to follow her due to his ship being in the process of regenerating the energy source to travel again, he is left alone contemplating the dangerous beauty of Xurictrumiz along with following Acinorev's footprints near Auxilush where she made an exploratory stop.
Sadness overwhelms Nebur even sitting surrounded by the beauty of Xurixtrumiz's landscape, which both are depicted in the song.
Production Notes
This is the first time I use soft synthesizers to produce a song, of course I also stole the drums from another song of mine "En Un Planeta" (In a Planet).
That long piano part towards the end took me about twenty something takes to record that sequence. I hope I never have to play it live!
